How to reach Casa Bernardini

 

• By plane
  The nearest airport to reach Viareggio is the "Galileo Galilei airport" in Pisa. From the airport there are hourly buses that for 2.50€ will take you only 100 meters from our casa.

 

• By car/motorcycle
  Highway A10, running just behind Viareggio, links the town to Genoa (and France), Milan, Venice, Bologna, Florence. You may download here an explanation on how to reach casa Bernardini

 

• By train
  The main eastern north-south train line connecting Rome and the southern part of Italy with the north-west (France, Switzerland) passes through Viareggio and stops there. The house is only a short walk away from the train station.

 

• By car
  Temporary permits to be allowed to park in the city are necessary. These permits are not very expensive and we will take care of arranging one of them for you (extra). Keep in mind that during high season (July-August) parking spots are harder, but by no means impossible, to come by.

 

How to visit around by public transport

 

- Boat from "Viareggio port" (il molo): Isola d'elba and Cinque terre can be reached also via boat.

- Train from Viareggio station (la stazione): Lucca (20 min), Pisa (20min), Florence (1.5hr) can be easily reached by train See here the latest schedule (also in English).

- Bus (terminal in piazza d'azeglio): Buses may take you to Pietrasanta (20min), Forte dei Marmi, Lucca, Florence (also Florence airport), Pisa (also Pisa airport ~1hr)
